Welcome to Warbstow Early Years Hub
Warbstow Primary Academy will open it's new Early Years Hub in September, located within the main school site, it will be equipped for continuous provision both inside Paddington Class and within the enclosed outdoor area. Children will also have supervised access to climbing frame, grassy banks, track and field and an exciting wooded wild area with (friendly) giants reading chair!
Warbstow Early Years Hub aims to provide a warm, secure and stimulating environment where each child is recognised as unique and is enabled to fulfil their potential. The children are encouraged to be curious, observe, question and explore; to express themselves through a wide variety of creative work, role play and physical activities; and to develop personal and social skills facilitating their move through primary school. Most of all we want the children to have fun and enjoy joining in our sessions.
Our aims are:
- To provide a warm, secure and stimulating environment where each child fulfils their true potential
- To encourage all children to listen and respect other peoples opinions and values
- To encourage children to be curious, explore, observe and question
- To help children express themselves through a wide variety of creative work, role play and physical activities
- To develop personal and social skills to enable them to move through the Primary School with ease
Equal opportunities and Special Educational Needs
All children are welcome to attend Warbstow Early Years Hub. We value each individual for what he or she can bring to our setting, be it different talents, religion or cultural background. Our Early Years Hub is able to provide for Children with Special Educational Needs and we are totally committed to their involvement in all of our activities.
From September 2022 we encourage all nursery children to wear the Warbstow Primary Academy sweatshirt so they feel part of the whole school setting. However, this is optional. At all times it is important that your child is dressed for playing so clothes that are practical and easily washed best e.g. jogging bottoms. Please also provide several changes of clothes per session, and a named drinks bottle.
If your child wears pull ups or nappies, we request that you supply us with spare ones to ensure your child remains clean, dry and comfortable in their preferred brand.
