Applying for Nursery

Session times

Morning - 8.45am - 11.45am

All day - 8.45am- 3.15pm

We ask that your child is booked in for a minimum of 3 sessions a week, in order for them to settle in and gain a true nursery experience.  If your child is staying all day please provide them with a healthy packed lunch or book a cooked school meal which  is available, at a cost of £2.10 per day. Booking and payment is made via ParentPay. We are unable to reheat any meals from home.

Nursery Absence

If your child is going to be absent from nursery due to illness, then please call the school office on 01566 781388 or email hello@warbstow.org.uk, before 9am in the morning. 

To ensure the nursery maintains a healthy and safe environment for all children and staff, parents are asked to keep children with infectious conditions at home.   In instances of sickness and/or diarrhoea, please keep your child off nursery for 48 hours, timed from the last occurrence.

Children are welcome back once they have made a complete recovery and with the agreement of the school.

If your child becomes poorly at nursery, we will let you know. The nursery may ask you, or you may wish, to take your child home depending on the degree of symptoms.  Please be assured all staff have undergone Paediatric First Aid training.

Nursery Uniform

We encourage all nursery children to wear the Warbstow Primary Academy sweatshirt so they feel part of the whole school setting.  However, this is optional.  At all times it is important that your child is dressed for playing so clothes that are practical and easily washed best e.g. jogging bottoms. Please also provide several changes of clothes per session, and a named drinks bottle.

If your child wears pull ups or nappies, we request that you supply us with spare ones to ensure your child remains clean, dry and comfortable in their preferred brand.
