Our Learning Journey

Warbstow Nursery provides a balanced curriculum for children to learn through play and with their interests each day. Staff will respond to each child’s emerging needs and interest, guiding their development through warm, positive interaction. As children grow older, and as their development allows, it is expected that the balance will gradually shift towards more activities led by adults, to help children prepare for school.

Our termly projects coincides with the Reception class as we work together and meet frequently with them, learning about various subjects through music and movement, exploring the woodland area and taking day trips together.

You will find that your child will be making things and painting all the time and they will want to show you their work. We encourage this – we want to see you and your children being enthusiastic about their work.

Tapestry

TAll children in Reception and Nursery have a personal Learning Journey which records photos, observations and comments about your child’s experiences here with us. To do this we use an online tool called Tapestry. We recognise that every moment matters in a young child’s life and their home experiences are incredibly important to us here in Paddington Class. We therefore encourage parents to record these moments on Tapestry so we can work in collaboration and chart a child’s progress together.

An activation email will be sent to you once your child has enrolled and there will be further support and guidance to follow.
